i am reminded tonite of some words told to me by an adorable earthy gnome-like man by the name of Dan. He said "stay with the core of artistic endeavor." And he explained to me that the core of creating art is just the fact that the artwork wants to be created. To stray from that would be to create art for money or to tailor to a trend. So we should aspire to create art, be it sculpture, painting or cake decorating, just for the fact that these creations want us to create them. We are but tools.
